Classic mars (projections, externalizing energy, forward thrust, cars and vehicles, planes) in Gemini air sign (communication, short trips) retrograde indication and reflection of present grounding of all airplanes in America due to systems crash. Mercury retrograde too is double whammy.
So with Mars going direct this Thurs Jan 12, and Mercury direct next Wednesday Jan 18th, we are in the thick of communication mishaps, miscommunications or breakdowns, frustrations moving forward, harsh or negative words or situations. Strong shift this coming week clarifying what is possible or not for practical solution and resolve, futurity. Working in harmony with others should get easier.
Troubled areas reach breaking point or get resolution. With Sun conjunct Pluto in Capricorn next Wednesday when Mercury most retrograde goes direct, this whole week calls for need to regenerate and rethink many a situation concerning long vs short term plans, happiness, security, relations, work and calling.
